UI design. Websites and applications.

I’m Simon Clayson, a web and graphic designer based in Oxfordshire, UK. Sometimes I work by myself, sometimes I collaborate with others. Whatever I’m doing, my approach remains constant: I believe in creating high-quality, creative, accessible and thoughtful work. My role is to make your brief come alive, offering fresh ideas and expertise. I’m proud of what I produce.

On this site you can find browse my portfolio and get in touch. The Notebook section is where I collect things I find interesting, from clever tips and creative influences to random opinions and interesting links.

You may have found me, or perhaps would find out more about me on Flickr and Twitter.

Transition to something newer

After a period of stagnation, I’ve decided that my site needs to be much more focussed and tighter. The previous site was well received and served me well, but nothing lasts forever. I’ve taken the best bits and sprinkled modern magic everywhere. It's not done completely but at some point you just have to launch. I'll write about the process in the coming days.

What I’ve been working on

I've been working with some great brands and people designing complex user interfaces at Scholastic plus an all round project for Right Plumb. Logo, no fuss website, cards and vehicle graphics - maximum impact on a low budget.
